DaniMer Scientific are a recognised global leader in Bioplastic
technology. They have established world class research and development
teams with two laboratories and a polymer development centre that
enables rapid response to customer needs.
DaniMer are based in Bainbridge, Georgia, USA from where they have
engineered a range of biodegradable and compostable Bioplastic resins.
Their resins are primarily based on renewable sources i.e. plant
starches, as opposed to petroleum based resins.
DaniMer Scientifics’ technology offers substantially improved product
performance for compostable/biodegradable plastics. DaniMer Scientific
have formulated resins for a wide variety of applications including:

- Hot Melt Adhesives
DaniMer Scientifics’ most recent development is on the first
commercially available renewable Hot Melt Adhesive. These are produced
using DaniMer’s proprietary Seluma condensation polymer technology.
This enables each product to be ASTM 6400 compostable and suitable for
hydro pulping under de-inking conditions.
DaniMer Scientific have engineered these products to be direct replacements to petroleum based hot melt adhesives.
